Precautions

 Installation Position

 Mechanical Mounting

Working Principle

The 330104 proximity probe operates based on the eddy current principle. The probe tip generates a high-frequency electromagnetic field. When a conductive target, such as a metal shaft, enters this field, eddy currents are induced on the target surface.

Changes in the distance between the probe and the target alter the strength of these eddy currents. This variation is converted into an electrical signal that is proportional to the gap distance. The resulting voltage output is processed by the monitoring system to determine shaft vibration and position with high accuracy.
