1756-L55M22 ControlLogix CPU – 750 KB user memory, 208 KB I/O memory, mirrored 750 KB non-volatile backup
Dual-processor architecture: the Logix core runs the application and messaging, while a dedicated backplane core manages I/O traffic and network exchanges. Serial link to programming workstation via 1756-CP3 cable; plant-wide connectivity through EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet and other Logix5000-supported networks.
Producer/consumer tags can be exchanged over EtherNet/IP or ControlNet-one connection per producer and per consumer. Multitasking operating system allocates processor time across 32 tasks (100 programs/task max) and unlimited event triggers; routines can be written in any Logix5000 language, on- or off-line.
Fault diagnostics: flashing green I/O status LED and user-configurable fault handlers.
Battery-backed: accepts 1756-BA1 or 1756-BATM; periodic replacement required.
